Chris Tokar is an accomplished Process Development & Research Chemist III at Regis Technologies, Inc. since February 2016, specializing in the synthesis of investigational drug molecules and the design of efficient synthetic processes for novel active pharmaceutical ingredients. Previously, Chris held the position of Scientist - Organic at Elevance Renewable Sciences, where contributions included the synthesis of lubricant base fluids and the development of un-saturated ester derived monomers, along with significant involvement in intellectual property and safety committees. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Research Scientist at deCODE Chemistry, focusing on process R&D for clinical development candidates and cGMP manufacturing. Early career at the University of Minnesota as a Postdoctoral Research Associate involved research on ligands for metabotropic glutamate receptors. Chris holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. in Chemistry from Saint John's University.
