Rana Genedy, Ph.D.

Rana Genedy, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various research and development roles. Rana is currently working as an Environmental Modeling Scientist at Regrow Ag since June 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Virginia Tech as a Ph.D. Candidate & Graduate Research Assistant from August 2019 to June 2023. Rana also served as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Zewail City of Science and Technology from June 2017 to May 2019. Additionally, they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at Virginia Tech from August 2018 to October 2018, where they contributed to writing a chapter on sustainable use of Switchgrass for Bio-fuel and studying the potentials of "Agro-Voltacies" in Virginia State. Rana's work experience also includes a research and development internship at Tagaddod from January 2017 to September 2017.

Rana Genedy, Ph.D., pursued their education in the field of engineering. From 2014 to 2019, they attended Zewailcity, where they focused on Environmental Engineering Technology/Environmental Technology. Subsequently, they enrolled in Virginia Tech in 2019 and is expected to graduate in 2023 with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biological Systems Engineering.
