Gina Diaz is an associate in Reichman Jorgensen Lehman & Feldberg LLP’s Silicon Valley office. She focuses her practice on complex commercial and intellectual property litigation.
Gina received her J.D. from The University of California, Berkeley School of Law. While in law school, she researched and analyzed patent-based control positions and issues regarding patent applications for Lawrence Berkeley National Labs’ innovations. She also gained experience at the nexus of legal and AI by working with M&A attorneys to create a structured dataset based on corporate contracts. The team used the dataset to train Natural Language Processing algorithms to find red-flag provisions without the need for a keyword search. In addition to the dataset, Gina worked closely with the lead attorney in designing a replicable process to efficiently train future interns.
Before pursuing her legal career, Gina taught collegiate-level Spanish and was beloved by students for her ability to synthesize complex linguistic concepts into understandable components. In her legal practice, Gina draws on her experience teaching a range of students—both in the United States and China—to create simple, engaging explanations for complicated, abstract ideas. Gina received both her M.A. and B.A. (summa cum laude), in Spanish from Northern Arizona University.
