Simon Bland

Simon Bland has extensive work experience in various roles and organizations. Simon started their career in 1983 at East Surrey College where they held various positions until 2003. In 2003, they joined Reigate & Banstead Borough Council as an Economic Prosperity Programme Manager, responsible for the development and delivery of the Council's Economic Development Framework and Economy and Jobs Action Plan. In 2018, they became the Head of Economic Prosperity at the same council. During this time, they were also an Executive Council Member and Ambassador at Gatwick Diamond Business, as well as a Member of Surrey Future Steering Board. In 2021, Simon founded and became the Director of rbinspire.net.

Simon Bland pursued their education at the University of Sussex from 1987 to 1989. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor of Education degree (BEd) with a focus on Education. Prior to this, from 1982 to 1983, Simon studied at The University of Huddersfield, where they completed a CertEd program specializing in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching.
