Marina Gau

Marina Gau has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Marina is currently working as the Legal Director and Head of Legal and DPO at Relais & Châteaux since 2018. Prior to this, they worked as a Lecturer on Intellectual Property in English at ESSEC Business School starting from 2017. Marina also gained valuable experience as an Attorney at Law at Altana from 2017 until 2018, specializing in Intellectual Property, Information Technology, Patents, Designs & Models. Marina also worked as an Attorney at Law at De Gaulle Fleurance & Associés from 2013 to 2017, focusing on IP/IT, Industrial Property, Trademarks, Information Technology, and Tech. Additionally, they had a trainee lawyer position at the same company in 2013. Marina also had internships at Michelin in 2012 as an Assistant to the Data Protection Officer, at the Paris Court of Appeal in 2012 as a Courts' Assistant, at Gide Loyrette Nouel in 2011 in IP/TMT, and at Taj Société d'avocats (Deloitte) from 2008 to 2010 as an apprentice in Tax Law and Transfer Pricing.

Marina Gau began their education in 2004 at Lycée Sainte-Geneviève, where they completed preparatory classes for the French "Grande Ecoles." Marina then attended CY Cergy Paris Université from 2008 to 2009, earning a Licence in Law. From 2009 to 2010, Marina pursued further studies at the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, obtaining a Master 1 degree in Business Law. Continuing their educational journey, they enrolled in ESSEC Business School and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from 2006 to 2011. Marina further specialized in Technical Innovation Law, earning a Master 2 degree from Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) between 2010 and 2011. Finally, in 2012, they attended École de Formation des Barreaux de la Cour d'appel de Paris / Paris Bar School and obtained a CAPA (Licensed as a French Lawyer).
