Grigoris Karvounarakis

Grigoris Karvounarakis has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various roles and companies. Grigoris currently holds the position of Senior Computer Scientist at RelationalAI, starting in May 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Infor as a Principal Software Engineer from August 2016 to March 2018, and again from March 2018 to March 2022.

Before joining Infor, Grigoris was a Computer Scientist at LogicBlox from October 2009 to August 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Consultant at LogicBlox from April 2009 to July 2009. Grigoris also worked at ICS-FORTH as a Postdoctoral researcher from October 2009 to December 2011, and as a Research Assistant from June 1996 to August 2003.

Furthermore, Grigoris gained experience as a PhD Student - Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania from September 2003 to July 2009, alongside being a Teaching Assistant from September 2004 to August 2005. Grigoris also held the position of a Summer Intern at Bell Labs Lucent Technologies in June 2004, and as a Summer Intern again in June 2001.

Grigoris started their career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Crete, Department of Computer Science from September 1998 to January 2000. Overall, they have developed a strong background in computer science and has held significant roles in both industry and academia.

Grigoris Karvounarakis holds a PhD in Computer and Information Science, which they obtained from the University of Pennsylvania during the period of 2003 to 2009. Prior to that, from 1998 to 2000, they pursued their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science at the University of Crete, Department of Computer Science. Grigoris'sacademic journey began with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from the same institution, where they studied from 1994 to 1998.
