Tomáš Drvoštěp's work experience includes roles at various companies, starting in 2013 as a Research Assistant at the University of Economics, Prague. Tomáš then interned at Česká spořitelna's EU Office before joining mBank CZ as a part-time Risk Reporting Specialist Support.

In 2015, Tomáš worked as a Compensation & Benefits Advisor at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where they conducted data analysis and reporting, developed predictive and inferential models, and automated reporting and data processing.

From 2016 to 2018, they worked at O2 Czech Republic, first as a Data Scientist, focusing on large-scale classification and targeting pipelines, and then as a Data Science Team Leader, leading a team in developing credit scoring models and co-developing a product with other telecom companies.

In 2018, Tomáš joined Showmax as a Data Scientist, where they created a Julia-based recommender system service using deep learning.

Tomáš then moved to DT One in 2019, where they worked as a Data Scientist and Data Engineer.

In 2021, they joined Yelp as an Applied Scientist, where they implemented PySpark pipelines and integrated complex data sources into the feature store system.

Currently, Tomáš works at RelationalAI as a Julia Ecosystem Engineer, starting in 2022.

Tomáš Drvoštěp began their education in 2012 when they enrolled in the Computing for Data Analysis course at Coursera. In 2013, they continued their studies at the same institution and obtained certifications in Data Analysis and Coding the Matrix: Linear Algebra through Computer Science Applications. During the same year, they also completed a course in Learn to Program: The Fundamentals. In 2014, Tomáš completed the Statistical Learning course at OpenEdX and the Machine Learning course at Coursera. Tomáš further expanded their knowledge in programming by completing the An Introduction to Interactive Programming in Python course in 2014. Tomáš obtained the certification in Mining Massive Datasets from Coursera in 2015.

Alongside these certifications, Tomáš pursued their formal education at the Prague University of Economics and Business. Tomáš completed their bachelor's degree in Economics from 2009 to 2013. Tomáš then went on to obtain their Ing. degree in Economic Analysis from the same institution, where they studied from 2013 to 2015.

In 2019, Tomáš obtained a certification in Deep Learning from deeplearning.ai.
