Zengjian Hu

Algorithm Research Engineer at RelationalAI

Zengjian Hu is an experienced algorithm research engineer currently working at RelationalAI, focusing on the development of next-generation relational graph databases to enhance AI capabilities. Previously, Zengjian served as VP of Analytics at eSmart Systems, applying modern computer vision technologies for power line inspection. As Lead Research Scientist at The Energy Authority, Zengjian was instrumental in architecting a critical optimization system for a complex hydro model, earning recognition as a finalist for the 2014 INFORMS Franz Edelman Award. Additional roles include consulting software engineer at Microsoft, application scientist at D-Wave Systems, and research engineer at Intel, with a foundation in natural language processing. Zengjian holds a Ph.D. in Computing Science from Simon Fraser University, a Master’s degree from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a Bachelor of Science from Beijing Institute of Technology.
