Alain Minier has worked in various roles in the robotics and aerospace industries since 2010. Alain began as a Research Coordinator for the European Student Moon Orbiter Mission at ISAE-SUPAERO, Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL), and the European Space Agency. Alain then worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at Tsinghua University's School of Aerospace/EADS Airbus and at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's Laboratory of Space Robotics and Spacecraft Control. In 2013, they were a Visiting Research Scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Space Systems Laboratory. From 2014 to 2016, they were a Software Engineer Consultant, Lead Software Engineer for the Mobility Department, and Software Engineer at Hope Technik Pte. Ltd. During this time, they led a team of six engineers in the design, development, delivery, and upgrades of an enterprise system for real-time control of a fleet of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs). Alain also designed communication interfaces between subsystems and developed server-side routing algorithms for real-time task assignment and conflict-free path optimization. Most recently, they have been a Robotics Software Engineer at Savioke since 2016.
Alain Minier's education history includes a Master of Science (MSc) in Aerospace Engineering from ISAE-SUPAERO from 2009 to 2013. Alain also attended Lycée Lakanal from 2007 to 2009, specializing in Mathematics, Physics and Engineering.
