Thomas Beernink

Thomas Beernink has a diverse work experience in various companies and roles. Thomas started in 2013 as a Student Assistant for Sound Design at TU Delft. In 2015, they became a Service/UX Designer at Keen Design, where they worked until 2020. During this time, they also joined Politie Nederland as a Service/UX Designer from 2017 to 2020. In 2020, they joined Homies Alarm, innovatie van Achmea as a Service Designer and later moved to Achmea as a Sr. Product Designer. Thomas worked in these roles until 2023. In 2021, they briefly worked as an Innovation Manager at Eurapco. Currently, they are working at relayr as a Sr. Product Designer.

Thomas Beernink attended Marianum Groenlo from 1998 to 2004, where they obtained their VWO degree. Thomas later enrolled at Eindhoven University of Technology in 2011 and earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Industrial Design in 2012. During their studies, Thomas also participated in an Erasmus Exchange program at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 2011, focusing on Industrial Design Engineering.

After completing their undergraduate degree, Thomas pursued further education at Delft University of Technology from 2012 to 2014. There, they earned a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Design for Interaction.

In addition to their academic achievements, Thomas has obtained various certifications to enhance their skills. In 2018, they obtained a UX certificate from the Nielsen Norman Group. Most recently, in September 2022, they completed a certification in Innovation management from ICM opleidingen & trainingen.
