Anthony Freeman

Anthony Freeman has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Anthony started their career in the military as a Master At Arms/Training LPO/Evaluator/Range Instructor/LPO for Expeditionary Warfare in the US Navy. During this time, they trained and certified over 150 individuals in various areas of security and played a vital role in creating LAN networks for overseas soldiers.

After leaving the Navy, Freeman worked as a Nuclear Security Specialist at the First Energy Nuclear Operating Company, where they ensured compliance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission and Ohio Emergency Action Plans. Anthony also analyzed company procedures and implemented corrective actions.

Freeman then joined Emerson Process Management as a Security Support Specialist specializing in NERC CIP. Anthony was responsible for providing cybersecurity expertise and negotiating customer contracts. Anthony also ensured compliance with CIP-004 standards.

At Duquesne Light Company, Freeman served as a CIP/IT Governance Risk & Compliance Sr. Specialist. Anthony oversaw CIP compliance efforts, developed and implemented mitigation plans, and addressed outstanding compliance issues.

Most recently, Freeman worked at ReliabilityFirst Corporation as a Principal Analyst Risk Analysis and Mitigation. Their responsibilities included conducting risk assessments, analyzing potential violations of Reliability Standards, and reviewing and accepting evidence to verify completion of mitigation plans.

Overall, Freeman has demonstrated expertise in risk analysis, compliance, security, and mitigation planning in various sectors, including military, nuclear energy, and cybersecurity.

Anthony Freeman attended Colorado Technical University from 2009 to 2010, where they obtained an Associates of Science degree in General Studies. Following this, they continued their education at the same university from 2010 to 2012, earning a Bachelor's in Information Technology with a concentration in Security. In addition to their degrees, Anthony also obtained certifications in COMPTia Networking + Fundamentals and Java Server Programming from Colorado Technical University.
