Ashish Chakravorty

It was under Ashish Chakravorty’s leadership that Reliance MediaWorks (RMW) set up the Hollywood benchmarked state of the art sound stages with incomparable and cutting edge facilities. In 2012, The Hollywood Reporter featured the RMW Studios among the top ten best shooting facilities globally. This was a result of Chakravorty's keen eye for detail, meticulous planning and relentless passion. He also successfully scaled the Film and Broadcast market to establish RMW as a global player.

With over two decades of experience across different verticals of the Media & Entertainment industry, his business acumen lies in acquisition, marketing and distribution. Constantly utilizing the blue ocean strategy at RMWL, Chakravorty has been instrumental in setting up India's first 'full HD capable' broadcast post production facility in Mumbai.

He has been associated with Zee Telefilms Ltd., Universal Music, Lintas India Ltd., Icon Inc. & Percept Advertising. He also co- founded and served as the CEO of Big Bang Media Pvt. Ltd., one of India’s leading exclusive online content aggregators.

Chakravorty holds an Economics Honors from Mumbai University and is fluent in several Indian languages.

Trained in Hindustani Classical Music and passionate about driving and exploring the less travelled roads brings out the versatile entrepreneurial persona in him.
