Rafael Brinhosa

Rafael Brinhosa has a diverse work experience starting in 1998 as a Co-Founder of TCSUL. Rafael went on to work at various companies such as Eletronic Data Systems, DELL, NeoGrid, U.S. Bank, and Avaya, where they held roles related to IT security and consulting. Rafael also worked as a Professor at Instituto Federal Catarinense, providing education in information security, software development, and project management. Most recently, they worked at Volkswagen Digital Solutions as a Cyber Security Specialist and at Reltio as a Principal Security Architect. Throughout their career, Rafael focused on integrating cutting-edge research into practical applications and managing information security strategies to ensure systems remained secure and compliant.

Rafael Brinhosa received their Bachelor's degree in Information Systems from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in 2006. Rafael went on to complete their Master's degree in Computer Science at the same university from 2007 to 2010. In 2011, they pursued a Specialization in Strategic Management at Universidade Federal do Paraná. Currently, they are working towards obtaining their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, which they are expected to complete by 2023. In addition to their academic degrees, Rafael has obtained various certifications in areas such as cybersecurity, cloud computing, and software engineering from institutions including The SecOps Group, Cisco, EC-Council, and Microsoft.
