Peter Storer

Peter Storer has a diverse work experience spanning over several roles in the hospitality industry. Peter began their career at Cook Jones as an Accountant from 1989 to 1993, followed by a position at McKenzie & Partners as an Accountant from 1994 to 1995. Peter then worked as an Internal Auditor at Amanresorts from 1996 to 2000. Peter later joined Millennium Hotels - UK as an Internal Auditor from 2001 to 2004, and then moved to Millennium Hotels & Resorts - US in the same role from 2004 to 2007. Peter served as the Director of Internal Audit at Highgate from 2007 to 2014 before assuming the role of Hotel Corporate Controller at Highgate from 2014 to 2017. Peter currently holds the title of VP of Property Accounting at Remington Hotels, and they have been leading the Internal Audit function for the company since 2019. In this role, they are responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and making recommendations to improve the control environment.

Peter Storer has a Bachelor of Business degree in Economics & Accounting from Deakin University, which they obtained from 1985 to 1987. Peter also holds an Associate Membership from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, which they completed before 1995. Additionally, they completed their secondary education at Colac High School in Victoria, Australia from 1979 to 1984. Peter Storer has also obtained certifications like CA and Chartered Accountant in Australia, which served as the US equivalent of CPA.
