Lance Powell

Lance Powell has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Lance started their career as a Voice Actor, Disc Jockey, Production Assistant, and Programming Assistant at ASU - KASC1260 from 2002 to 2003. Lance then worked as an English Instructor at Pagoda Institute from 2009 to 2011 and at Westgate Institute from May to July 2011. Lance also served as an English Instructor at Dogus University from September 2013 to January 2015.

In 2016, Lance joined VR First as a Researcher and Developer, contributing to the field of virtual reality until February 2020. Following this, they worked at Glitch Studios as a Resident Cognitive Scientist, responsible for developing web content, brand promotion, and consultation on VR design from January 2017 to February 2018.

Continuing their career in virtual reality, Lance became a Virtual Worlds Instructor and English Instructor in the Game Design Department at Bahcesehir University in August 2018. Lance held this position until September 2022.

In 2021, Lance took on multiple roles. Lance became a Course Instructor at XR Bootcamp from January 2021 to January 2023, where they instructed individuals in Virtual Worlds and Virtual Reality. Concurrently, Lance joined VEDX Solutions Inc as the Chief Technology Officer, leading the transformation of virtual education through the application of virtual reality technology into curriculums.

Currently, Lance works as a Product Manager at REMIO starting from September 2022. Overall, their work experience reflects their expertise in virtual reality, education, and technology.

Lance Powell's education history includes a Master's Degree in Cognitive Science from Boğaziçi University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2018. Lance also completed a Certificate of Completion in Cognitive Science from the New Bulgarian University 23rd International Cognitive Science Summer School in 2016. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Italian Language and Literature from Arizona State University, which they completed from 2002 to 2006.
