Remora
Julia has worked in a spatial analysis lab assisting in research on groundwater storage modeling, and on DOE-sponsored research on biocrude extraction from algae. As a mechanical engineering student at the University of Michigan, she explored the intersection of technological innovation and environmental protection. Julia surveys caves in her spare time and recently discovered a large room in Fisher Ridge cave, never before seen or explored, which contained thousands of fossils dating back over 300 million years.

Remora's device captures the carbon emissions from a semi truck. They sell the captured carbon dioxide to concrete producers and other end users, helping companies earn new revenue while meeting their climate commitments.
