Eric Favre

Head of Liquid Metal at Renaissance Fusion

Eric Favre began their career as a Scientific Researcher at Danieli Group in 1998, conducting studies and numerical calculations in the fields of electromagnetic processing of steels. Eric then joined COMSOL France in 2001, where they spent 22 years as the Directeur Général, developing the French subsidiary and assisting users with multiphysics simulations. During their time at COMSOL, they helped contribute to the software's success by providing features such as unlimited High Performance Computing, automatic code generation, and optimization capabilities. Most recently, in 2023, Favre became the Head of Liquid Metal at Renaissance Fusion, focusing on the control of liquid metal for fusion energy.

Eric Favre earned a Doctorat degree specializing in Fluid Mechanics from Grenoble INP - UGA, where they studied from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, they obtained a DEA degree in Fluid Dynamics and Transfers from Université Paris-Saclay in 1994. In 1993, Eric briefly attended the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris, although the details of their degree and field of study during that time are unknown.
