Samuel Castonguay

Samuel Castonguay is a skilled professional in engineering physics with extensive experience in fluid dynamics and computational modeling. Currently serving as a Liquid Metal Modeler at Renaissance Fusion in Grenoble, France, Samuel contributes to the development of advanced liquid metal systems for fusion technologies through high-fidelity multiphase magnetohydrodynamic simulations. Prior to this role, Samuel was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Eidg. Forschungsanstalt WSL, where research focused on combining CFD simulations, clinical data, and machine learning to predict aneurysm rupture risks. As a Research Engineer at Lloyd's Register, Samuel worked on critical defense industry projects involving explosive blast analysis and fluid dynamics. Samuel's educational background includes a PhD in Engineering Physics from Polytechnique Montréal, along with degrees from Polytechnique Montréal and KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
