Amy-Jo Brown

Amy-Jo Brown has extensive experience in finance and accounting, specializing in the non-profit sector. Amy-Jo worked as the Director of Finance at Renaissance Social Services, Inc. from 2013 to present, overseeing all financial aspects of the organization. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Accountant at Upchurch & Associates from 2011 to 2013, where they focused on financial statement audits and bookkeeping services for non-profit clients. Amy-Jo also worked as a Senior Accountant at Runyon Kersteen Ouellette from 2002 to 2010, specializing in governmental and non-profit audits. In addition to their experience in finance, Amy-Jo worked as a bartender at American Alehouse from 2011 to 2016.

Amy-Jo Brown earned their Bachelor's and Master's of Business degrees in Accounting and Business/Management from Husson University from 1998 to 2002. Before that, they attended the University of Southern Maine-School of Business from 1996 to 1998, where they pursued Accounting and Business/Management studies without completing a degree. Prior to their college education, Amy-Jo graduated from Stearns High School in 1996, earning a High School Diploma in a College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program. As for additional certifications, Amy-Jo obtained a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP) certification from BDO FMA in 2021. Amy-Jo also holds certifications in Gunshot & Asthma Response First Aid from UJIMAA MEDICS and CPR/AED/First Aid from the National CPR Foundation, both obtained in 2019. Additionally, Amy-Jo is a Notary Public licensed by the State of Illinois since 2012.
