Tony McNicholas

Tony McNicholas has over 27 years of experience in data engineering and software development. Tony is currently working at Renalytix as a Data Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at The Climate Corporation as a Staff Data Engineer, where they designed and managed database and storage layers for Petabytes of data using various AWS technologies. Before that, they worked at Zulily as a Data Engineer, developing applications for real-time advertising spend analysis. Tony also has experience working at Fidelity Investments as a Lead Software Engineer, where they developed data marts and reporting functionalities using OBIEE. Tony worked as an Oracle Application Technical Consultant at Oracle, specializing in Oracle eBusiness Suite customization and database tuning. Tony also held positions at Emissary Technologies, Cognotec, ICL, and Oracle as a Data Architect, Software Architect, Senior Software Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer, respectively. Throughout their career, Tony has utilized various programming languages and technologies, including Python, SQL, Java, C++, and PL/SQL, to develop and optimize data solutions for different industries.

Tony McNicholas has a strong education history in the field of computer science. In 1994, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from Trinity College Dublin. Following this, from 2002 to 2004, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Technology Management at University College Dublin. In 2016, they attended the University of Washington to earn a Certificate in Machine Learning, further enhancing their expertise in computer science.
