Jonathan Leibowitz

Jonathan Leibowitz has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Jonathan is currently serving as a Medical Adviser at Plant Powered Metro New York. Prior to this, they worked as a Regional Medical Director at Rendr and as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Des Moines University. Jonathan has also held positions such as Chief Medical Officer at MDLand and Excelsior Integrated Medical Group, PLLC. Furthermore, they have served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. In addition to these roles, they have been a Board Member at Everbeat and is the owner of their own medical practice, Jonathan S Leibowitz, MD PC.

Jonathan Leibowitz has a diverse education history. Jonathan pursued a BA/MD degree in Medicine from the Brooklyn College/Downstate Medical Center Seven Year program, graduating in 1993. Jonathan then completed an Internal Medicine Residency Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai from 1993 to 1996. Jonathan further specialized in Nephrology through a fellowship program at the same institution from 1996 to 1998.

In 2002, Jonathan attended the SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, School of Public Health (SPH) to study Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine specifically designed for physicians, completing the program in 2003. Recently, in 2022, they obtained a Certificate in Plant Based Nutrition from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies at Cornell University. Additionally, they hold certifications from reputable institutions such as the AMERICAN BOARD OF LIFESTYLE MEDICINE and the ABIM Foundation, demonstrating their expertise and commitment to their field.
