Avinash Kashyap

Avinash Kashyap is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in power electronics and semiconductor technology. Currently serving as Vice President and General Manager of the Discrete & Wide Bandgap Power Solutions Business Unit at Renesas Electronics, Avinash oversees a high-performance global organization focused on P&L, engineering, and revenue generation for power devices in the xEV and industrial markets. Previous roles include Director of Power Discretes at Microchip Technology Inc., where strategic leadership in R&D and product management was provided, and Engineering Leader for SiC at GE Global Research, where breakthrough semiconductor solutions were developed. Avinash holds a PhD and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas, where foundational work on SiC projects was conducted.
