Amanda White

Global Head Of Diversity & Inclusion at Renewable Energy Systems

Amanda White has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Amanda is currently serving as the Global Head of Diversity & Inclusion at RES since April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an HR Manager at RES since May 2017 and served as the Global Vice-Chair of RISE LGBTQ+ Affinity Network since March 2021.

Before joining RES, Amanda took a family career break and underwent country relocations from August 2012 to May 2017.

Their earlier experiences include working as an HR Business Partner at Endeavour Vision from June 2006 to August 2012, an HR Project Manager at STV Group plc from May 2005 to May 2006, and an HR Advisor at Arcadia Group Ltd from March 1998 to October 2000.

Amanda's career started at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, where they served as a Personnel & Training Assistant from May 1990 to March 1998.

Amanda also had significant experience at HSBC, initially starting as an HR Advisor in October 2000. During their time at HSBC, they managed the transfer of staff from Bank of Bermuda employment to HSBC under a TUPE arrangement and handled various HR responsibilities such as talent acquisition, reward and compensation, flexible benefits, employee relations, and performance management.

Amanda White's education history begins in 1990 when they attended City of Glasgow College and obtained a Higher National Diploma in Business Administration and Management. This was a part-time program, and they completed it in 1993.

In an unspecified year, Amanda enrolled in CIPD Qualifications and obtained a PgD CIPD degree in Human Resources.

Later, Amanda attended the University of Strathclyde, where they completed a Certification in Personnel Practice in the field of Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration. This program took place before 2005, although the exact start year is unknown.

Currently, Amanda is pursuing a Practising Certification in Human Resources from the Australian HR Institute, which they started in 2020 and is expected to complete by 2022.
