Brian McDaid

Brian McDaid has a diverse background in the renewable energy and engineering sectors. Brian is currently the Head of Turbine O&M at RES (Renewable Energy Systems Ltd), a position they have held since 2018. Prior to this, they served as the COO (Chief Operating Officer) at MAGMA Renewables Ltd from 2016 to 2017, where they led the development of various services to enhance the efficiency and productivity of renewable assets. From 2013 to 2016, Brian worked as an Engineering Manager at B9 Energy, and from 2002 to 2013, they held the role of Regional Account Engineer- Ireland North at B9 Energy O&M Ltd. Brian began their career as a Service Engineer at Tetra Pak in 2001. Throughout their career, Brian has gained experience in site operations, management, WTSR delivery, HV network operations, and authorising engineering.

Brian McDaid attended Waterford Institute of Technology from 1991 to 1993, where they pursued studies in Mechanical Engineering.
