John Giannone

John Giannone has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. John most recently worked at RES as a Sr Manager, Transactions, starting in October 2022. In this role, they oversee all commercial aspects of active solar construction projects throughout the US market, manages project cost, schedule, scope changes, procurement, project risk, and profitability, while also supervising a team of solar commercial managers. Prior to this, from October 2019 to November 2022, John worked as a Senior Commercial Manager at RES, where they oversaw commercial aspects of solar construction projects and supported pre-construction efforts for key solar projects.

Before joining RES, John worked at Skanska USA as a Commercial Manager from March 2016 to March 2019. In this role, they were responsible for pre-contract project pursuit, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and contract management for heavy civil projects in the US. John also handled buy-side and sell-side contracts, cost control, procurement strategy execution, accounts payable, forecasting, claims management, and warranty administration.

From June 2012 to March 2016, John worked as a Commercial Manager at Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems Americas, Inc. It is unclear what specific responsibilities they had in this role.

John's earlier experience includes working at Burns and Roe as a Sales Coordinator from October 2009 to May 2012, where they managed home office sales operations and prepared and managed proposals for various power generation projects. John also served as an Engineer II at Burns and Roe from July 2006 to October 2009, where they had project experience in designing waste-to-energy facilities and combined heat and power facilities.

Prior to that, John worked at Sussex County Division of Engineering as an Engineering Aide from May 2004 to January 2005. In this role, they determined advisory speed limits on county roads, located and inspected wastewater outfalls, and inspected county bridges for structural stability.

John Giannone completed their education with an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business from 2008 to 2012. During their time there, they focused on finance, marketing, and general management. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Rutgers University, which they completed from 2002 to 2006. In addition to their formal education, John Giannone also earned a certification as a Six Sigma Champion from the institution of Six Sigma.
