Rachel Anderson has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles in the field of communications and renewable energy.

Rachel began their career as a Public Relations Assistant at RES in September 2007 before advancing to the role of Communications Officer in October 2008. From July 2010 to June 2013, they served as the Community Relations Manager before becoming the Regional Head of Communications for Scotland from June 2013 to December 2014. Rachel then took on the position of Communications Manager for Western Europe at RES, which lasted from December 2014 to December 2016. Rachel was subsequently promoted to Head of Communications & Policy, a position they held until February 2022. In March 2022, they assumed the role of Head of Global Communication Projects at RES.

In addition to their work at RES, Rachel Anderson became the Chairperson of RenewableNI in November 2015. RenewableNI serves as the voice of the renewable electricity industry in Northern Ireland, facilitating knowledge exchange, policy development, and best practice consensus among stakeholders. Rachel held this position until March 2022.

Furthermore, Rachel also served as a Non-Exec Director at Scottish Renewables from March 2019 to July 2021.

Rachel Anderson attended The University of Sheffield from 2004 to 2007, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Business Studies. Additionally, in 2005, they briefly studied abroad at Copenhagen Business School through the Erasmus program, focusing on Business Studies.
