Arthur Feldman

Scientific Advisor at Renovacor

Arthur Feldman, MD, PhD, founded Renovacor in 2013 and has served as a member of its board of directors since then. Dr. Feldman is the Laura H. Carnell Professor of Medicine at Temple University, where his research focuses on the molecular biology of dilated cardiomyopathy and heart failure. Dr. Feldman has held numerous leadership roles in academic medicine, including as Executive Dean of Medicine and Chief Academic Officer at Temple Health System, Magee Professor and Chair of the Department of Medicine at the Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, and Harry S. Tack Professor of Medicine and Chief of Cardiology at UPMC. He was a founder and served as a director of Cardiokine, a specialty pharmaceutical company developing drugs for cardiovascular diseases. Dr. Feldman also served as the President of the Heart Failure Society of America. He has received numerous awards from professional organizations and has been listed in “Best Doctors in America®, Cardiovascular Disease” most years since 1996.

Dr. Feldman received his BA in biology from Gettysburg College, an MS in Zoology, a PhD in physiology from the University of Maryland, and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He then received an MD from at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine before returning to Johns Hopkins hospital where he completed his residency in internal medicine and fellowship in cardiovascular disease before joining the faculty in 1986.
