Erika Cary

Erika Cary currently serves as the Associate Director of Career Development at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a position held since October 2019. With prior experience as Assistant Director and Career Counselor at Appalachian State University, Erika has a strong background in counseling, program development, and student advocacy. Erika has successfully implemented campus-wide initiatives, enhanced peer education programs, and led numerous career-related workshops. Additional experience includes roles in staff recruitment and development, grant writing, and coordination of fundraising efforts. Erika holds an M.S. in College Student Counseling from Canisius University, a B.A. in History from St. John Fisher University, and is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
