John B.

John B. has extensive work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. John began their career at Smoak, Davis & Nixon LLP as an Assurance Staff, where they gained valuable experience in working papers, the review process, and client communications. John then progressed to the role of Assurance Senior, leading audits for various organizations and providing feedback to staff members.

In 2008, John joined MedAssets as a Senior Accountant, responsible for managing fixed assets, journal entries, and audit schedules. John played a key role in the reimplementation of the Solomon ERP system and the updating of the employee data mart.

John's next role was at Americold Logistics, LLC., where they started as an Accounting Manager and later became a Senior Accounting Manager. John successfully led a team of accountants, documented accounting processes, and ensured proper revenue recognition. John also partnered with the Internal Audit department to become SOX compliant and developed efficient processes.

Most recently, John worked at Rent. as the Controller and later became the VP of FP&A. In these roles, they had oversight of financial planning and analysis and led the monthly close process. John also contributed to the documentation of accounting processes and transitions.

Throughout their career, John has demonstrated strong leadership, expertise in financial processes, and a focus on driving efficiency and compliance.

John B. earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of North Florida, where they attended from 2002 to 2006. John further pursued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting between 2006 and 2008. In addition to their academic qualifications, John became a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Florida in July 2011.
