Philip Clapper

Philip Clapper has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. In their most recent position as Lead SDET at Rent., they partnered with the QA Manager to oversee and mentor a large group of junior and senior SDETs. Philip focused on improving overall quality through process and delivery, as well as developing and coordinating test frameworks in continuous delivery. Prior to this, Philip worked at Yottaa as a Senior SDET/DevOps and Senior Software Engineer in Test. At CACI International Inc, they served as an Automation Test Lead, while at ActiveProspect they were a QA Automation Engineer responsible for automation aspects of quality and deployment. Earlier in their career, they held positions such as Senior QA Engineer at U.Group, Lead Quality Assurance Engineer and Senior QA Engineer at SemanticBits, Freelance QA Contractor at TestLauncher, Freelance Web Engineer, Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at ThreatConnect, Inc., and Lead QA/Release Manager at M3 Accounting + Analytics.

Philip Clapper has a diverse education history. Philip completed their Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Management at DeVry Institute of Technology from 1994 to 1998. In 1989, they obtained their High School diploma from Greater Atlanta Christian Schools. Later, in 2014 to 2016, they pursued biblical studies and received a 12Stone Certificate in Biblical Studies from the 12Stone Church Biblical Studies Program.

In 2015 to 2016, they expanded their knowledge in web development by completing the CoderManual.com: Complete Web Development Bootcamp with Rails, earning the Job-Ready Web Developer degree in Web/Multimedia Management and Webmaster.

Philip also attended additional short-term courses to enhance their skills. In 2017, they engaged in the iOS Programming: The Big Nerd Ranch Guide course and the Selenium with Java - Basics to Advanced course on Udemy.

Lastly, in 2020, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
