Del Leistritz-Edwards began their work experience in 2004 as a Research Associate/Cell Culture Laboratory Manager at the University of Central Florida. In 2007, they joined Sanofi Pasteur as an Associate Scientist and held various roles including Laboratory Coordinator, Scientist, HSE Coordinator/Biosafety Officer, and SOP Site Lead (Medical Writer). They worked at Sanofi Pasteur until 2019. In 2020, Del Leistritz-Edwards joined Repertoire Immune Medicines as an Associate Scientist.
Del Leistritz-Edwards obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics with an Engineering Emphasis from The University of Tulsa between 1998 and 2002. Following this, Del pursued higher education and completed a Master of Science degree in Bioengineering at Clemson University between 2002 and 2004.
