Christian Shields

Christian Shields is an experienced production optimisation lead at Repsol Sinopec Resources UK Limited, overseeing compliance management and continuous improvement in production processes. With a strong background in production engineering, Christian has previously held positions at Talisman Energy as a senior operations reservoir engineer, and at Marathon Oil Company as a senior petroleum engineer, where innovative techniques were implemented to enhance production. Early career experience includes roles at BP as a petroleum engineer, focusing on well interventions and surveillance across subsea assets, and at International Logging as a mudlogger. Christian holds an MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College London and a BSc in Geology/Earth Science from The University of Manchester.
