Robert Meier has worked in various roles in the IT industry since 2000. Robert began their career at Beta Research GmbH as a Project Manager and Team Lead, where they developed a system for personalization of 3 million smart cards for a conditional access system in a pay TV environment. Robert then moved to HighQ IT for the manufacturing industry GmbH as a Project Manager and Team Lead, where they managed the development of a workflow-based web portal solution, an application for mass data processing and a web application in a machinery business. In 2006, they became the Leader Software Development Center at HighQ IT Slovakia s.r.o. - A Company of Perot Systems. From 2010 to 2013, they were the Custom Application Development Leader at IBM, where they were the project manager for a financial risk assessment system roll-out to 8 CEE countries and led a custom application development team. Since 2020, they have been the Chief Information Security Officer at Resco.net\u2601, where they have been responsible for the implementation and operations of an ISMS in compliance with the ISO 27001 regulation and introducing a risk management framework in accordance with ISO 27005.

Robert Meier obtained a Dipl.-Math. in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Goettingen between 1993 and 1999. Robert also holds certifications from Coursera in Functional Programming Principles in Scala (2014), Prometric in Sun Certified Programmer for the Java Platform, Standard Edition 6 (2010), and APM Group in ITIL v3 Foundations (2008).
