Kirsi Peltonen is a University Lecturer at Tampere University since October 2018, leading a key project funded by the Academy of Finland focused on helping traumatized adolescents seeking asylum. In addition to this role, Kirsi has been a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Tampere and the Academy of Finland since September 2014, concentrating on how memory functions affect therapeutic interventions for war-affected adolescents. Kirsi previously served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute for Advanced Social Research from August 2012 to August 2014, following a tenure as a Senior Assistant and Doctoral Student at the University of Tampere from August 2005 to July 2012. Kirsi holds a PhD in Psychology as well as the title of Docent in Mental Health Psychology, both obtained from the University of Tampere.
