Rayan Alabsi

Rayan K. Alabsi is a highly skilled professional currently serving as the Acting General Manager of Grants Compliance and Oversight and an Expert of Research Grants and National Programs at the Research, Development and Innovation Authority (RDIA) since September 2023. With significant expertise in research grants and compliance, Rayan played a critical role in launching Saudi Arabia's first research funding program and established the grant compliance division, ensuring rigorous oversight and quality assurance. Prior to RDIA, Rayan worked at the Robert E. Fischell Institute for Biomedical Devices as an Engineering Consultant and Faculty Assistant, securing awards for research in orthopedic devices. Rayan's engineering experience includes roles at Emergent BioSolutions, Philips Healthcare SL, and King Fahad General Hospital, along with a strong educational background comprising Master's degrees in Business Administration and Bioengineering, and a Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Akron.
