Laura Marcial

Laura Marcial, PhD, FAMIA, is a seasoned expert in health informatics with extensive experience in leadership and research. Currently serving as Senior Director of the Center for Informatics within the Analytics Practice Area at RTI International since July 2012, Laura Marcial has led innovative health information technology projects, particularly in clinical decision support tools and patient-provider engagement. Previous roles include Program Director for Data to Evidence at RTI International and Director of Technology and Operations at Johns Hopkins University, where Laura Marcial focused on developing infectious diseases resources for clinicians. Laura Marcial holds a PhD in Information Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a BA in History from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, complemented by graduate coursework in Public Health.
