Rebecca Mann Flueckiger has a diverse work experience in the fields of monitoring, evaluation, research, learning, and adapting (MERLA) as well as Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Rebecca is currently the Associate Director of MERLA at RTI International where they oversee applied research and learning activities. Prior to this, they served as the Chief of Party for the Somalia Camel Leasing to Impact Resilience Activity. Rebecca has also worked as an operations research specialist at RTI International, focusing on MERLA in the Global Health Division. Before joining RTI International, Rebecca worked as an Independent Consultant, providing support and expertise to organizations such as The World Health Organization and The Neglected Tropical Disease Support Center. Rebecca has also worked at the Task Force for Global Health as a Geographic Information Systems Data Manager and Information Analyst. In addition, Rebecca has experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology and as the Director of Marketing and GIS at Catalyst Retail Group.
Rebecca Mann Flueckiger holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, University of London. Rebecca also has a Master of City and Regional Planning degree with a specialization in Geographic Information Systems from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Additionally, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geographic Information Science and Environmental Studies from James Madison University.
