Sarah R. serves as the Director of the Communication, Science, and Society Program at RTI International, a position held since July 2003. In this role, Sarah oversees initiatives within the Center for Communication and Engagement Research. Additionally, Sarah has acted as a Communication Scientist and Program Manager in the Science in the Public Sphere Program. Since January 2015, Sarah has also contributed to the academic field as an Adjunct Faculty member at The George Washington University's Milken Institute School of Public Health, teaching Health Communication and Social Marketing. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Analyst at the American Institutes for Research from June 2001 to July 2003. Sarah holds an MA in Mass Communication/Media Studies and a BA in English Literature, both from Florida State University.
