Nick West

Nick West is a Lead Analyst at the Reserve Bank of Australia since September 2024, having previously served as Assistant Director and Economist at the Commonwealth Treasury from February 2021 to September 2024. In this role, Nick was involved in macroeconomic analysis as part of the national economic forecasting unit. Earlier experience includes tutoring Advanced Microeconomics at the Faculty of Business and Economics at The University of Melbourne and completing internships at the Department of Treasury and Finance, Victoria, Veracity Worldwide, and Adara Group. Nick holds a Master's degree in Economics from Melbourne Business School and a Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a focus on Economics and Finance from the University of Melbourne. Additionally, Nick participated in a program at The University of Texas at Austin in 2017.
