Somayeh Alizadeh

Somayeh Alizadeh, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

In 1999, they began their career as a Programmer at Niroo Research Institute, where they utilized their skills in C++ and Visual C.

Moving forward, from 2002 to 2005, they worked as a Business Analyst (ERP) at IKCO.

Somayeh then joined Aryana Industrial & Research Group as an IT Manager from 2005 to 2009 before transitioning into a role as a Data Mining Consultant at the same company from 2013 to 2016.

During this time, they also served as a Clinical Data Scientist at Sarem hospital from 2010 to 2012.

In 2009, they became an Associate Lecturer at K. N. Toosi University of Technology, where they taught until 2019.

In 2016, they joined Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization as a Data Science Manager, a role they held until 2019.

Somayeh then moved on to become a Machine Learning Researcher (Visiting Professor) at the University of Toronto from 2019 to 2020.

In 2020, they began their position as a Lecturer at Seneca College, which lasted until the end of the year.

Currently, they are working at Xe.com, starting as a Data Scientist from 2020 to 2021, transitioning to a Senior Data Scientist role from 2021 to 2022, and currently serving as the Director of Data Science.

Somayeh Alizadeh, PhD, has a strong educational background in information technology and engineering. Somayeh obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Information Technology from Iran University of Science and Technology, completing their studies from 2003 to 2007. Prior to that, they earned a Master's Degree in Industrial Engineering from the same institution, studying from 2000 to 2003. Somayeh Alizadeh also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Software Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, which they received from 1993 to 1998.

In addition to their formal education, Somayeh Alizadeh has also pursued various certifications to enhance their skills. Somayeh obtained the AWS Academy Graduate - AWS Academy Machine Learning Foundations certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in January 2022. In December 2019, they completed the Data Science Hands-On with Open Source Tools certification program from IBM, as well as the Deep Learning with TensorFlow certification from the same institution. Prior to that, in February 2010, they obtained the IT Information Library Foundations Certification (ITIL) from APMG International. In February 2009, they completed the Comprehensive Project Management Workshop Based on PMBOK from Aryana Industrial & Research Group. In June 2007, they received the MPM-19 IT project management training program certification from the Project Management Institute.
