Head Of Division-policy & Regulation Microfinance AND Capital Markets at The Reserve Bank of Malawi

Lynda Kananza has a diverse work experience. LYNDA started their career at Bernhard and Harris Law Consultants in 2003 as a Law Consultant, where they specialized in company law, international business transactions, banking and finance. LYNDA provided legal advice to clients, drafted security instruments, and conducted legal research. In 2010, they joined the Reserve Bank of Malawi as the Head of Division- Policy & Regulation in the Microfinance & Capital Markets Supervision Department. Their responsibilities included managing the entry control of Capital Markets and Microfinance Market players, as well as developing an effective regulatory framework for the Microfinance and Capital Markets sectors. LYNDA also served as the Principle Examiner, providing legal advice and guidance on supervision matters.

Lynda Kananza pursued their Bachelor of Laws degree LL.B (Hons) in Law from the University of Malawi. LYNDA attended this institution from 1998 to 2003, which formed the foundation of their legal education and knowledge. Moving forward, they further enhanced their expertise by obtaining a Master's degree in International Banking and Financial Law from the University of Cambridge. This academic pursuit took place from 2006 to 2007, providing their with specialized knowledge in the field of international banking and financial law.
