M Rafat is currently working as an Asylum Application Specialist at Resettlement Action DC (REACT DC). With a background in legal advising, criminal law reform advising, and capacity building, M Rafat has experience in reviewing national laws and policies, analyzing domestic laws in relation to international conventions, and developing manuals on gender-related issues. M Rafat has lectured at Kateb University and holds a Master's degree in Private Law from AhlulBayt International University.
