Sasha Metcalf, PhD has a diverse work experience. In 2021, they began their current role as Senior Research & Learning Manager at Resilia. Prior to this, they held the role of Associate Director, Research and Evaluation at Brooklyn Academy of Music from 2017-2021. From 2016-2017, they were a Visiting Assistant Professor of Musicology at Vanderbilt University. From 2015-2016, they were a Lecturer in the Writing Program at the University of California, Santa Barbara. Sasha also held the role of Graduate Instructor at the University of California, Santa Barbara from 2008-2015, where they designed and taught undergraduates in class sizes ranging from 25 to 450 students. In 2012, they were the Coordinator of Instrumental Programs at Music Academy of the West, and in 2008 they were the Student Staff Program Director at Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music.

Sasha Metcalf, PhD obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Musicology from UC Santa Barbara in 2015. Prior to that, they obtained their Master of Arts (MA) in Musicology from UC Santa Barbara in 2011. Sasha obtained their Bachelor's degree in Music/Economics from University of California, Santa Cruz in 2008. Additionally, Sasha obtained a certification in Elearning Essentials: Instructional Design from LinkedIn in October 2020.
