Ken Simpson

Ken Simpson is an accomplished Patent Counsel currently working at ResMed since October 2023. Previously, Ken held the position of Regional Patent Counsel at Grab from September 2021 to October 2023. Ken has a robust legal background with experience as a Principal and Senior Associate at Davies Collison Cave from July 2018 to August 2021, and as an Associate at Gill Jennings & Every LLP from September 2017 to June 2018. Ken served as Senior Counsel – Intellectual Property at Mastercard from May 2015 to September 2017, managing the IP function in the Asia/Pacific region and addressing various IP matters. Early career roles include Associate positions at Marks & Clerk Singapore LLP and Davies Collison Cave, as well as a Patent Attorney at Watermark Intellectual Property. Ken began a career in research as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Bioinformatics at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research from 2002 to 2007. Academic credentials include a PhD in High Energy Astrophysics and a Bachelor's Degree in Theoretical and Experimental Physics from the University of Adelaide, along with incomplete law studies at The University of London.
