Dr. Andrei Tchernook

Head of Instrument Development at Resolve Biosciences

Dr. Andrei Tchernook has a diverse range of work experience across multiple companies. Dr. Andrei started their career at NANOLIT GmbH in 2007, where they worked as a Scientific Officer. Dr. Andrei then moved on to Plasmonic Biosensor AG in 2007, where they served as Head of R&D and was responsible for organizing design, prototyping, and application activities. In 2008, they joined Neaspec GmbH as a Product Manager and supervised the development of a near-field microscopy product.

After that, Dr. Tchernook worked at SwissOptic from 2009 to 2014, first as a Technology Officer responsible for identifying and evaluating new technologies, and later as a Technical Project Lead and Documentation Manager in various space projects.

In 2014, they became a Project Manager at FAU. Dr. Andrei then joined Technolas Perfect Vision GmbH / Bausch + Lomb in 2015 as an Optical Systems Engineer / Consultant.

In 2017, Dr. Tchernook began their tenure at JENOPTIK Optical Systems, where they held several roles including Head R&D Bioimaging Solutions, Head System Development, and Head of System Engineering and Value Innovation. Dr. Andrei was also a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board at Jenoptik AG during this time.

In 2020, Dr. Tchernook joined magnosco GmbH as Head of Development and led the development efforts until 2022. Currently, they are the Head of Instrument Development at Resolve BioSciences, starting in 2023.

Dr. Andrei Tchernook obtained their Diplom in Physik / physikalische Optik from Weißenrussische Staatliche Universität, Minsk, Belarus, from 1979 to 1984. Dr. Andrei then went on to complete their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physik from Institut für Physik, Akademie der Wissenschaften, Minsk, Belarus, from 1986 to 1990. In addition to their formal education, Dr. Tchernook also obtained a certification in IPMA Level D from VZPM - Association for the certification for persons in management in March 2015.
