Robert Stavins is a prominent academic and researcher with extensive experience in economics and energy policy. Currently serving as a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research since January 2007, Stavins also holds the position of Manager at Sports & Entertainment Analytics from 2005 to the present. Additionally, Stavins has been a University Fellow at Resources for the Future since January 1989 and has been the A. J. Meyer Professor of Energy & Economic Development at Harvard University since July 1988. Robert Stavins completed a Ph.D. in Economics at Harvard University, where education was pursued from 1983 to 1988, and holds a Master of Science in Agricultural Economics from Cornell University, which was obtained from 1977 to 1979. Stavins also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Northwestern University.
