Job description

As our Content Lead, you will join Respondent at a time where you will have a significant impact on our growth. You’ll have an opportunity to tell the stories behind our customers and partners, including Microsoft, Qualtrics, Uber and IBM.  This is a global role where you will deeply understand our key audiences and how to help them: research teams, partners and research participants. We are a small, agile marketing team and you will be reporting to the VP of Marketing. This role will have the opportunity to contribute to the company and marketing strategy while taking ownership of our content strategy and publishing activities. Content is the fuel for our marketing funnel. You will create messaging and campaigns to connect ideal customers and partners with our products. The content you create will be a unique differentiator for Respondent as we make our mark on the research industry.

What you'll do

  • Produce unique, entertaining, educational content across all of our channels including website, blog, email, case studies, social media, video, events, podcast and webinars.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the research ecosystem, the motivations and incentives that drive research teams and the tools and methodologies they use.
  • Research the needs of our customers and use your interview skills to speak to experts and curate insights.
  • Collaborate closely with channel partners, marketing freelancers and cross-functional stakeholders across the company to build and manage our content roadmap.
  • Be the champion for storytelling and consistent voice & tone across brand touchpoints.
  • Repurpose and optimise content within the funnel to achieve acquisition and revenue goals.
  • Develop a nuanced understanding of research participants and the messaging and channels that lead them to offer their time and insights for research studies
  • Monitor content performance and trends to ensure Respondent is part of the conversation.
  • Pitch in to help with other marketing projects
  • Potential for international travel to attend company meetups and industry conferences

  • An effective allrounder: You have excellent time-management skills, managing priorities and diligently ensuring that deliverables are ready on time. You will demonstrate a bias to action and take ownership for executing on priorities

Skills & experience you'll need

  • 4+ years content marketing experience; we’re looking for someone who can build systems and produce content at the same time
  • Experience publishing content for B2B companies
  • You have examples and results of content marketing projects you have published
  • You’re data-driven and can stitch together data sources to find growth opportunities
  • You’re comfortable talking to customers and partners, presenting our products to prospects or at industry events
  • We are accepting applicants anywhere within 2 hours travel of Sydney or Wollongong. While we have a fully remote team, this role will be required to meet up in person with the marketing team in Sydney or Wollongong 1-2 times per month.
