Nik Barnes

Nik Barnes currently serves as the Clinical Lead for Business Intelligence, Digital & Procurement at Cheshire & Merseyside Imaging Network since May 2023. Additional roles include Associate Clinical Lead at ReStart - Interoperable Digital Care, Clinical Lead at ORCHA, and CEO and Head of Development at NT HITT Consulting Limited, all held since 2021. As a co-founder of Alder Hey Innovation and a Consultant Paediatric Radiologist at Alder Hey Children's Hospital since 2002, Nik Barnes has also held leadership positions such as Chief Clinical Information Officer and Clinical Lead/Director of Radiology & Service Governance Lead. Nik Barnes obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Newcastle University between 1987 and 1992.
