Kris Barnier

Vice President, Central at Restaurants Canada

Kris Barnier serves as the Vice President - Central Canada at Restaurants Canada since March 2024, following a tenure as Vice President at Loyalist Public Affairs from August 2022 to March 2024. Prior to these roles, Kris was the Executive Director of Policy and Budget in the Office of Ontario's Finance Minister from July 2021 to August 2022 and held the position of Vice President, Government Relations at Sagen from January 2012 to July 2021. Kris's earlier experience includes various roles such as Special Projects with the Office of Ontario PC Leader, Manager of Policy at the Toronto Board of Trade, and Government Relations Leader at CAA Ontario. Kris's background in communications and public relations spans positions at TD Bank Financial Group, Ontario Ministry of Transportation, and as MPP Liaison for the Honourable Jim Flaherty. Educational qualifications include a BAH in Political Studies from Queen's University, a Post Diploma Certificate in Public Relations from Humber College, and completed courses in finance and securities.
