Ian McDonald MBA FCMI CMgr has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ian most recently served as the Director of Engineering (R&D) at Retail Insight. Prior to that, they held various leadership roles at TalkTalk, including Head of IT Optimization & Transformation/Head of Applications, Co-Chair Women In Tech Employee Network, Head of Software Delivery, OSS Delivery Manager, OSS Development Team Leader, and Telecoms Development Team Leader. Ian also worked at Opal Telecom as an IVR Engineer/Developer/Senior Developer, where they contributed to the development of voice systems and received recognition for innovation. Ian began their career as a Student Intern - Computing Officer at Liverpool John Moores University, where they gained experience in requirement gathering, analysis, implementation, and support. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a strong focus on technology strategy, software delivery, process improvement, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Ian's experience showcases their expertise in leading teams, driving innovation, and successfully delivering projects.

Ian McDonald earned their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Strategic Leadership from The Manchester Metropolitan University between 2020 and 2023. Prior to that, they studied Computer Studies, focusing on Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology, at Liverpool John Moores University.
